Select the Best Plan
Now that you’ve chosen a plan, don’t forget to sign up. And pay your first month’s premium if you need to.
Now that you have looked over your choices and compared them, you are ready to select a plan.
If you have coverage though your job
Sign up for the plan you want. Make sure to meet any deadline your employer has set for signing up. Usually you can join or change a plan when you are hired or during the yearly open enrollment period. You can add dependents at these times or when you have a new dependent, such as when you marry or have a child.
If you are buying insurance on your own
You have to apply to the insurance company. Make sure you fill out the form completely and honestly. The insurance company will accept you or reject you based on your application, including your medical history.
